Technology in Biology

This month we will be studying genetics through the use of advanced "Word" features.  Rotations, special symbols, shadows, etc. will be used via three documents.  Newsletters will also be taught. 

We will also be working on using technology while studying punnett squares and mitosis.  Please bring all of the data collected while doing the mitosis lesson in your lab and we will use formulas to obtain a solution and graph the results.  Your punnett square lesson will be done using fantastic tables and text boxes.

The next project will begin with creating leaders in a chromosome assignment.  One type of leaders is the dots which connect text from one part of a row to another.  They can be set through tabs which can be found under the "format" menu.  When we have completed this part of the project, we will then copy the data into excel and begin graphing.  Please see Ms. O'Reilly for details.  Click here for project.
