I am looking forward to starting our new adventures through activities/projects.  Each assignment has specific goals which will  be explained through the linked files and by my explanation in class.   I expect that everyone will check this site at least a few times a week for new work and blogs.  Work is distributed by month links and you may upload your project documents by clicking on the link that is highlighted.  Biology content will be used for all assignments and will correspond with your book.  Microsoft tools will be examined and applied for all applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Internet.  Please see attached on computer hardware and software vocabulary assignment.  

Upon finishing an assignment, it is crucial to proofread your work before printing.  A rubric will be distributed.  Any student who would like to re-do any assignment by fixing their errors will earn additional points.  (I average the original grade with the revision grade).  I hope you all take advantage of that benefit.  Our goal is for you to learn and apply all of the tools required  for each assignment.  

The first week we will explore all of the tools in "Word" and each tool's function.  Please upload file:  Microsoft Vocab.  or file from class.  You will need to define the parts of the word processing window and each toolbar's primary function.  There will be a quiz on this material.  The following week will begin with a microscope assignment which includes the use of a variety of tools and the internet.  See links: microscope  handout and instructions.  The hanging indent and first line indent features will be introduced.  

Next activity is Activity 3 which introduces the correct way to create a lab report.  See rubric.
